The Story of Braseiro
Our Story
Braseiro was founded in Georgetown, Texas, in September 2023, driven by my passion for high-quality knives made with dedication, not mass-produced by large-scale industries. This passion was born in my childhood when I admired my grandfather’s collection, a true gaucho at heart. He had a small but impressive collection of knives and pocketknives.
I was captivated by the pieces, from traditional Farroupilha knives with silver sheaths to tactical knives with deer antler handles. Even though I secretly handled them, I would often cut myself, as I was too young to use them properly.
I clearly remember one day when I went fishing with my father, around the age of 9 or 10. He got the hook stuck on something at the bottom of the river, and with effort, managed to pull it up. To our surprise, it wasn’t a branch but an old “Rambo” style knife, worn by time but with a unique beauty. I found that fascinating—after all, what are the odds of catching a knife while fishing?
As time went on, my passion grew, and one day, while talking with a friend, he introduced me to a Brazilian cutlery shop. After much research and analysis, I made my first knife purchase on September 25, 2023. They were quality products, though still from third-party brands and manufacturers. But the dream of having my own brand never left my mind.

On October 17, I made my first sale, which filled me with joy. At the start, I chose to create a modest WhatsApp group where I sold knives through raffles – a popular model in Brazil where participants choose a number and wait for the draw to win the prize. Our first raffle took place on November 8, 2023. During this time, there were many mistakes and successes, but every step was a valuable learning experience. Today, we have held hundreds of raffles, and we also organize auctions on WhatsApp.
However, I wanted more. The real dream was to create knives under my own brand, tailored to my customers’ desires. Finally, in January 2024, I produced my first personalized “gems.” There is still a long road ahead, but in less than a year, Braseiro has already evolved, bringing to the market products that combine beauty, exclusivity, and quality.
Today, Braseiro is ready to serve customers all over the United States and around the world. Our presence has expanded to Brazil, where we serve the entire country with our base established in Rio Grande do Sul – the heart of our global production.
With the launch of our e-commerce website, we are entering a new phase. The future looks bright, and we are determined to bring our customers the best in global cutlery.
